i think that 27 facial blend shapes should be sufficient for my short. thank god that bit is over. upnext ... the set, the props, and a layout playblast of all the shots. stay tuned production is about the begin.

the following are my character's skeletal and rig setup, which include:

IK/FK Arms and Legs
(relatively) Stretchy Arms and Legs
Stretchy Tongue

nothing too elaborate or complex. i think it will be enough for my animation purposes.

Although Christopher is no longer part of the story, as he was initially in the concept stage, never the less i had the character rigged and weights painted before i decided to cut him out of the story.

well i started modeling, at least roughly, the main characters by modifying NURBS Spheres.
now that i have a main idea blocked in, the characters size relationship established, it is time to move on to the Polygonal Modeling stage and add detail to these characters.

so this is christopher, a little different i guess from the initial nupastel drawing i did, but certain characteristics do still remain.

unfortunately since i dont have a scanner at home i can't yet post any sketches that have led me to creating christopher in the image that you see here. but when i will get a hold of a scanner well then all will be revealed.
